Founders

Ben Zoldan

Ben Zoldan is the co-founder of Storyleaders, an organization he established in 2008 to explore the human aspects of sales and leadership. Prior to this, he spent over two decades in B2B sales, advancing through senior sales leadership roles and specializing in sales enablement. His experiences led him to question traditional sales models, prompting research into disciplines like neuroscience and evolutionary science to better understand human connection and influence. This journey culminated in the creation of Storyleaders, where he works with leaders to design organizational effectiveness centered on human connection. In 2012, he co-authored What Great Salespeople Do, published by McGraw-Hill. Today, Ben has partnered to co-found UnlockTheThing, expanding his mission to unlock human potential on a broader scale.

Barry Sowerwine

In 2024, Barry co-founded UnlockTheThing whose mission is to help people connect and communicate in ways that inspire. Barry is a Technology Executive with 30+ years of experience building and scaling high-performance Sales, Business Development and Customer Success teams for hyper growth Software and SaaS organizations. Over his career, Barry has helped 4 companies go public; including Tableau Software where he helped architect, build and scale GTM operations in the Americas. Barry is passionate about authentic human connection and leading teams that "do the right thing" - prioritize people. Insanely curious, he has spent considerable time and effort throughout his career trying to demystify why the best salespeople are the best. Currently, Barry is a Board Director for four emerging growth startups and he provides consulting and advisory services to the high-tech industry.
